Three spellings on the label differ from the usual botanical names. "Lepidium mevenii" is normally meyenii, "Irvingia gabonesis" is normally gabonensis, and "L-Typtophan" is L-tryptophan. We keep the printed spelling inside quotes and use the standard names everywhere else.

The blend

What is in the Sugar Reset proprietary blend?

Twenty-two ingredients share 200 mg per serving, listed from most to least by weight.

A proprietary blend only has to show its total weight and list what is inside in order of weight (21 CFR 101.36 (proprietary blends)). That rule tells you maca is the largest share and L-carnitine the smallest. It does not tell you how much gymnema or guarana you get.

Third in line is guarana, a caffeine source. Eighth is gymnema, the herb most often sold for sugar cravings. A licorice compound sits 18th.

Maca leads the list

Maca is the first blend ingredient, so it weighs the most. Yet it has only a few small human trials, none on blood sugar (MSKCC About Herbs: Maca). The sales page names it, but not how much a dropper holds.

Maca powder in a bowl next to whole maca roots
Maca root and powder (illustration). Maca is first in the Sugar Reset blend, so it is the largest share of the 200 mg.

By the numbers

How much of each ingredient is in one serving?

1mL per serving
0.7mcg chromium per serving
200mg blend per serving
22ingredients in the blend
18mg each, if split evenly at 2 droppers

Only chromium has its own number. At 2 droppers a day you take 400 mg of blend, or about 18 mg per ingredient if split evenly. That is our estimate; the real shares are not published. For chromium, 2 droppers give 1.4 mcg, while diabetes studies used 200 to 1,000 mcg a day (NIH ODS: Chromium). More on chromium picolinate.

The extra claims are the seller's wording. A supplement label must carry the FDA disclaimer, and it may not claim to treat a disease (21 CFR 101.93 (structure/function claims)). More on why the blend format hides amounts in proprietary blends explained.

When it arrives

What should you check on your Sugar Reset bottle?

  • The safety seal is intact. The label says not to use the bottle if it is damaged or missing.
  • The panel reads 1 mL serving, 60 servings, chromium 0.7 mcg and a 200 mg blend.
  • A lot number and expiry date. We have not seen either in any product image, so note what yours shows.

FAQ

Sugar Reset Supplement Facts FAQ

What is in one serving of Sugar Reset drops?

One 1 mL serving lists chromium (as chromium picolinate) 0.7 mcg, which is 2% of the Daily Value, and a 200 mg proprietary blend of 22 ingredients.

Why does Sugar Reset use a proprietary blend?

The label does not give a reason. Federal rules let a blend show only its total weight and list ingredients from most to least, so the amount of each one stays private. For you, that means no way to know how much gymnema, guarana or ginseng a dropper holds.

How much gymnema is in Sugar Reset?

The amount is not printed. Gymnema is 8th of 22 ingredients in a 200 mg blend. Even if the whole daily blend at 2 droppers were gymnema, it would be 400 mg, a third of the 1,200 mg a day used in studies of gymnema alone.

Is there xylitol in Sugar Reset?

Yes. Xylitol is listed among the other ingredients as a sweetener, next to stevia. In dogs it can cause a dangerous drop in blood sugar, so keep the bottle out of a pet's reach.

Is Sugar Reset sugar free?

The label does not say sugar free, and the panel prints no calories or sugar row. Sweetness comes from stevia extract and xylitol in a glycerin and water base.

Why are some Sugar Reset ingredient names misspelled?

The label prints "mevenii" for maca, "gabonesis" for African mango and "Typtophan" for L-tryptophan. These look like typing errors on the artwork. They do not change which plants are listed.

Does the Sugar Reset label show an expiration date?

We have not seen a lot number or expiry date in any product image. Check the bottom or the back of the bottle you receive. If you cannot find one, call the order desk at +1 (302) 200-3480 with your order ID before you use it.
